Multiple Dead, Several Injured in Separate Shooting Attacks at ICE Facility in Texas and During Police Operation in Pennsylvania
At least three people were shot on Wednesday at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility in Dallas, Texas, before the suspected gunman took his own life. Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons confirmed the incident in an interview with CNN, noting that investigators were still working to determine the motive. “It could be employees, it could be civilians that were visiting the facility, it could be detainees. At this point, we’re still working through that,” Lyons said. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem described the situation as “fluid,” confirming that there were “multiple injuries and fatalities,” while acknowledging a recent increase in threats targeting ICE agents.
