PGMOL Appalled by Abuse
The governing body responsible for refereeing, PGMOL, has expressed deep concern and condemnation over the "unjustified and abhorrent" abuse directed at Anthony Taylor. Disturbing video footage emerged showing Taylor and his family being accosted by angry fans at Budapest Airport, following his refereeing of the Europa League final between Roma and Sevilla. During a post-match press conference, Roma manager Jose Mourinho criticized Taylor's performance, and additional social media footage showed Mourinho gesticulating at Taylor and other officials in the stadium car park, accompanied by the word "disgrace."
