2027 Presidency: Lawmaker Urges Atiku, Obi to Step Aside for Tinubu

 

Rep. Wale Ahmed has urged opposition leaders Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi not to contest the 2027 presidential election, insisting that challenging President Bola Tinubu would be a waste of time and resources. Ahmed argued that Tinubu deserves a second term, citing his economic reforms, rising foreign reserves, increased foreign investments, student loan initiatives, and major infrastructure projects. He further pledged to mobilise his constituents in support of Tinubu’s re-election, stressing that it is only fair for the South to complete two presidential terms.
