Nepal’s new interim Prime Minister, Sushila Karki, has vowed to fulfill the demands of the “Gen Z” protest movement that toppled her predecessor.
In her first remarks since taking office, the 73-year-old former chief justice pledged to “end corruption, ensure good governance, and fight for economic equality.”
The appointment follows mass youth-led protests — coordinated via Discord — that left at least 72 dead and government buildings torched in Kathmandu.
